How to play Werewolf: the rules in 1 minute
- Each player gets a secret card: most are villagers, a few are werewolves.
- At night, everyone closes their eyes. The narrator wakes the roles one by one: the werewolves pick a victim, the Seer learns one player’s role, the Witch can save or poison.
- By day, the village finds out who was killed. Everyone debates, then votes to eliminate a suspect, whose role is revealed.
- The village wins when every werewolf is gone. The werewolves win when they equal the number of villagers.
Werewolf with 3, 4 or 5 players
The classic game needs at least 8 people. Brumeval works for small groups: auto-balanced setups, 1 to 4 virtual players with a personality (cautious, hot-headed, logical, prankster), a “lone wolf” variant, a quick 3-night game, and a 2-player mode where the narrator plays the wolves. Virtual players leave consistent clues: a wolf never defends its partner by accident…

FAQ
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no subscription, no intrusive ads. Only a link to the original card game may earn a small commission.
Does every player need a phone?
No: one phone is enough. It is passed around so everyone can see their role, then stays in the middle of the table.
Can we play with 3 or 4 people?
Yes. Add virtual players: they get a role, talk during the debate and vote. One of them might be a werewolf.
How does the narrator avoid giving roles away?
It calls every role every night, even dead ones, with a realistic pause, in every language at the table, always in the same order.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, once the page has been opened once: add the app to your home screen and the phone’s built-in voice takes over.
What age is it for?
From about 8 years old. The “kids” mood replaces scary words with gentle ones.
